ABOUT KONA ORGANIC
Rooted in Hawaiʻi. Trusted in the Field.
Your Partner in Organic Certification
Kona Organic is an organic certification consulting company based in Captain Cook, Hawaiʻi. We work with farms, processors, handlers, and food brands anywhere in the world, from small family coffee farms to large processors. Organic is where we started, and it is still our focus.
We write the plans, set up the records, prepare you for inspection, and manage your certification every year, so certification is something that happens for you, not to you. Our team is IOIA trained in crops, processing and handling, and international standards, Demeter approved, and trained in PrimusGFS food safety.
How We Work
One team, start to finish. The same people who write your plan help you through inspection and every renewal after. Plain words, no jargon, and a heads up before every deadline.
Everything written down. Your plan, SOPs, records, and certifier letters live in one shared folder you can reach anytime, so nothing gets lost between seasons.
Seed to sale. We help with the land, the plan, the records, the label, and the buyers, so you are never handed off between steps.
Anywhere you farm or make food. We work with farms, handlers, and food brands in all 50 states and US territories, on site or remotely, and with exporters overseas.
Trained across the standards. Our team is IOIA trained in crops, processing and handling, and international standards, approved to work with the Demeter Biodynamic standard, and trained in PrimusGFS food safety.
Plain words. Organic rules are written for lawyers. We explain them the way you would explain them to your crew.
Free tools. Calculators, record templates, and a readiness quiz are free on this site, with no email needed.
