NONCOMPLIANCE AND SUSPENSION HELP
Got a Letter From Your Certifier?
What We Do When a Notice Lands
A noncompliance or suspension notice has deadlines. We move fast, for farms, handlers, and food brands anywhere in the world.

Read the Notice
We go through the notice and the records behind it, so you know exactly what the certifier found and what is due when.

Fix the Root Cause
We find why it happened and write corrective actions that fix the system, not just the paperwork.

Your Response, Written
We write your response and gather the evidence, then rebuild your plan and records so it does not happen again.

Common Questions
What is a notice of noncompliance?
It is a letter from your certifier saying part of your operation does not meet the organic rules. It lists what is wrong and a deadline to respond.
What happens if I miss the deadline?
Your certifier can move to a proposed suspension. Respond on time, even if the full fix takes longer.
Can I get my certification back after a suspension?
Often, yes. Once the problems are fixed and documented, you can ask to be reinstated. We help you build that request.
Can I appeal a decision?
Yes. You can appeal a proposed suspension or revocation within the time listed on the notice. We help you understand your options.
Do you help operations outside Hawaiʻi?
Yes. We help operations anywhere, by video call and shared documents.
How fast can you help?
Book a free 15 minute call today. Bring the letter, and we will map out the next step on the call.
Is a noncompliance the same as losing my certificate?
No. A notice of noncompliance gives you a chance to fix the problem or explain it. Suspension only comes later if it is not resolved.
Can I keep selling as organic after a notice?
In most cases yes, while you respond on time. Read your letter closely, because some notices come with limits. We go through it with you line by line.
What the Letters Mean
A notice of noncompliance says a rule was not met and gives you a date to respond. A proposed suspension or revocation means your certifier plans to act unless you fix the problem, appeal, or ask for mediation.
What a Good Response Has
What happened, why it happened, what you fixed, proof that it is fixed, and what you changed so it does not happen again.
Your Options
You can correct the problem, send a rebuttal if the finding is wrong, ask for mediation, or appeal. Each one has a deadline in the letter, so start with the dates.
Who this is for
Certified operations that got a notice of noncompliance, a proposed suspension, or a letter they do not understand.
When to call us
Call the day the letter comes. Every notice has a deadline, and a missed deadline is harder to fix than the problem itself.
Our conflict of interest policy is simple: we never inspect an operation we consult for, and your certifier always makes the certification decision. Book a consultation to talk through where your operation stands and what it needs.
